Luke 17:15-16 – “One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice.  He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked Him….”

This passage is about the 10 lepers whom Jesus healed from their leprosy.  Jesus sent them to go see the priests and on their way there, the healing took place.  Nine kept going, enjoying their lives again, reaping the benefits of having a healthy body once again.  They just continued on their way without looking back.  But one of them, a Samaritan (by culture, an enemy of the Jews) recognized what Jesus had done for him and turned back to show his immense gratitude.  I love that he was praising God in a loud voice, unashamed, and then threw himself at Jesus’ feet, humble, grateful, knowing that there was nothing he could do to repay or deserve the wonderful gift that he had received.

Today is Thanksgiving.  I am thankful for so many things.  But am I remembering to go back to the one who provided all of this for me?  Am I at His feet in gratefulness, recognizing fully who He is and what He has done for me?

Thank You.  Thank You.  Thank You, Jesus!!!! Help me live out this day and every day in never ending gratitude to You…..

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!!!

Let's stay connected!

I promise to send some encouragement your way, and a bit of hope for the soul...
