You call me beautiful, and I don’t know why

You’ve seen all my failures, my countless vain tries

The mud on my face from the times that I fall

In the dirt that I’ve stepped in, You see it all

And still You call me beautiful…

You call me lovely, and I don’t understand

You’ve felt the tugging when I pull from Your hand

You wipe the tears when I go my own way

Forgive all the reasons my heart went astray

And still You call me lovely…..

I’ll never fully understand what You see in me

A love that looked beyond my fault and took You to a tree

Eyes whose dying glance told me You had set me free

Covered in that love, You call me beautiful.  Lovely.

Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
