Reader friends of mine…

Tomorrow begins my four day writing retreat to focus on writing my book.  If you think of me in the next few days (as if you have nothing else to do!) please pray for this time.  I know that there will be spiritual battle going on – for my time, for my attention, for my thoughts.  Please pray that God would put His hand on this time, whatever that means.  If I come away not having written anything, but with a deeper understanding of Jesus and intimacy with Him, then the weekend will have been a huge success.  If all God does is prepare my heart for this project this weekend, that is just fine, and absolutely necessary.  But if He would allow the thoughts to begin to flow freely and passionately on the page, that would be wonderful and a complete miracle.

I am going into this weekend with great anticipation and excitement, but without a preconceived  idea of what it should look like.  I want to let God decide that.

Thanks for your amazing, continued support of this adventure.  So many of you have been uber encouraging and have inspired me to want to do more, go deeper and write better.  Thank you for that.  You are all my muse – my motivation, my inspiration and my reason for writing.

Here is the briefest synopsis of what I will be working on these next few days….

Jesus came as our Savior and Lord.  He brought salvation for our souls.  But He longs for more than just our souls and our eternity.  He desires our hearts and our NOW.  He wants to be our Father, our Friend and the Lover of our souls, that shares and walks this life with us. How deep we go in that relationship is up to us…

He knows the way.  He IS the way.  And He offers His outstretched hand and invites us to join Him.
